Detailed Day Wise Itinarary
Pickup from Bhubaneswar airport and proceed to Puri. En-route visit Dhauli (the peace pagoda), Lingaraj Temple, and Chausath (64) Yogini Temple. After reaching Puri, check into the hotel. In the evening, enjoy at Puri beach. Overnight at Puri.
After breakfast, darshan at Sri Jagannath Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed), Gundicha Temple (Mausima Temple), and Bedi Hanuman Temple. Depart for Satapada, Chilika. En-route visit Alarnath Temple. After reaching Chilika Lake, take a boat ride (at own cost) to meet the Irrawaddy Dolphins in nature and visit the Hradaya-Sagar Sangam or the sea mouth (where the lake meets the sea). Enjoy the day at Chilika Lake (India’s biggest inland lake spread over 1,100 sq km). Evening return to Puri. In the evening, relax at the golden beach and enjoy shopping at the Puri local market. Overnight at Puri.
After breakfast, drive to Konark on marine drive. Visit Chandrabhaga Beach and Ramchandi Temple. Then visit the famous Sun Temple, called the Black Pagoda, a 12th-century temple richly decorated with stone carvings. Drive to Bhubaneswar and visit Nandankanan Zoo (famous for its wildlife sanctuary and white tiger & lion safari, closed on Mondays). In the evening, check into the hotel. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast, visit Rajarani Temple, Mukteshwar Temple, Parshurameshwaram Temple, Kedar Gauri Temple, Khandagiri and Udaygiri Jain Caves, and the Tribal Museum (closed on Mondays). Free time for shopping at Ekamra Haat. Transfer to airport/railway station to catch the flight/train for onward journey with a bag full of memories.
